Любая дискуссия о прогрессе непременно доходит до обсуждения электрических автомобилей. Думаю, что до всемирной славы первооткрывательницы обратного карго культа мне не дотянуть, но пусть это будет мой скромный claim to fame.

Короче, в продолжение предыдущего поста, пара недавних ссылок про это самое. Если кратко, то дорого и бесполезно.

Приближается Тесла 3, но это совсем не та машина, на которую оглядывались, да и слишком много их. Пижонам такие автомобили не нужны. А "оригинальные" тесла стоят под сотню и больше.

Я не стану покупать электромобиль до тех пор, пока возможность электрозарядки не станет повсеместной и удобной. Ждать полчаса меня не прельщает. Я ценю свободу и удобство передвижения больше, чем наклейку "zero emission".

Do you have a power outlet in your garage at home or at work? If you do -- problem solved, if you don't, than EV is probably not for you at this point.

Есть, но этого недостаточно. Я не хочу застрять по дороге, потому что у меня разрядилась батарея. И я не только езжу на работу, мо и путешествую на своей машине.

I don't know how far you commute to work but 300 miles roundtrip is pretty extreme. Even in the harsh winter the range is well over 200 miles.

Long trips is why Tesla is the only realistic choice at the moment. Their charging infrastructure is excellent.

P.S. Btw, an important point is that unlike gas cars with home charging you always have full "tank" in the morning.

Нет. Проверил по карте в Неваде (я езжу туда на машине в Лас Вегас) - 12 на штат, одна из них не работает круглосоточно. Мне по дороге только одна. Если что, значит застрял.
Сравните с сотнями заправками бензина. На одном баке я проезжаю 420 миль (Мазда 6 - 6 цилиндров)

I've taken probably around 12 long distance trips (>250 miles) since I got my model 3. Charging has not been an issue. The car navigation system routes you to the destination and shows if any charges are out of service, how many stalls are free, etc. It does take longer than a gas station so I usually plan to have a lunch in the middle.

On the other hand, charging at home is much nicer (and cheaper) than having to go to a gas station once a week.

И в реальности прекрасная инфраструктура теслы превратится в тыкву, когда а) за быструю зарядку придется платить, б) когда вам придется подождать, пока машина перед вами зарядится. Есть еще интересные вопросы насчет возросшего потребления электричества, которое электростанции неспособны удовлетворить и падений сети (по разным причинам) - но об этом еще рано говорить.

но до недавнего времени суперчарджеры были бесплатными (вернее стоимость заправки была заложена в цене машины). Поэтому тесла ограничивала владельцев , не позволяя заряжаться неограниченно.
Сейчас стали брать деньги, но еще стесняются, продают первые 60К по дешевке.
А вот начнут брать по 25 центов за каждый киловатт (для 100К это ~25$) вот тогда и посмотрим.

Supercharging prices are completely irrelevant to my daily experience. I use supercharging at most once a month on long trips and it is about 2-3 times cheaper than the gas for the same distance. I actually do not want charging to be free -- there should be an incentive for people to charge at home and not take valuable supercharging space.

I won’t buy Tesla because: a) charging time and potential wait if station is full b) major problems with fixing it if in accident c) unknown and unexplored safety risks when the car burns after the collision.
