Кто виноват и что делать?

Среди тех, кто не полностью в трауре, слезах или депрессии наметилось удивительное согласие во мнениях, в том числе и не у левых. Если кому-то интересно как выглядит ситуация с самого-самого левого фланга независимых мыслителей (добавляю это чтобы отделить автора от ультра-левых СМИ, которых я не читаю), то вот:

My suggestion is that the party dial back the social crusading on issues that aren't mission critical and refocus on working class.

Там много чего, с чем я не согласен, тем не менее предложение кажется мне более чем разумным - единственно возможным путем вперед. Похожие вещи я говорил и раньше, в частности 8 лет назад. И тогда же добавлял, что дем. партия ничего не поймет и никаких выводов не сделает. И оказался прав. 4 года назад чудом пронесло, а теперь уже всё. Дальше будет только хуже если только часть правого электората вдруг не осознает, что левый social crusading это хорошо и прекрасно и надо это раздувать и дальше пока не лопнет. Но это вряд ли.

Anecdotal evidence: Наниматель жены левый до посинения. Он в трауре, жена в ужасе, дочка в слезах. А все друзья дочки, молодые белые мальчики, проголосовали за Трампа потому что по их мнению, демократы о них заботятся меньше всего.

Дойдет ли что-нибудь до руководства дем партии в этот раз? Что-то не думаю.

Спасибо. Выражения такие обтекаемые что это может означать почти все что угодно.

Если по сути это вылилось мандат нанимать из underserved communities вне зависимости от квалификации, как многие утверждают, то это и есть вклад Байдена в DEI.

Вся эта простыня, как и пресловутая «спецматематика доя цветных» есть лишь напоминалка для нанимателей, чтобы они отключили расовый и гендерный фильтр в своих предпочтениях при приеме

Формулировки в документе действительно обтекаемые, но достаточно четкие, чтобы понять смысл. В общем-то, там прямо указана цель to facilitate recruitment for Federal employment opportunities of individuals who are members of underserved communities. Обычно когда корпоративное руководство выражается в похожем стиле, всем все ясно.

На мой взгляд, не очень важно, какова будет квалификация нанятых таким образом людей, и не очень важно, что из этого действительно воплотилось в жизнь. Само существование этого executive order говорит о том, что some animals are more equal than others, и для них планируется отдельная очередь.

Легко представить реакцию демократов, если бы администрация Трампа выпустила похожий по сути executive order, в котором вместо "underserved communities" делался бы упор на white heterosexual male Christians born in US.
