Lomborg is not a climate scientist or economist and has published little or no peer-reviewed research on environmental or climate policy. His extensive and extensively documented, errors and misrepresentations, which are aimed at a lay audience, "follow a general pattern" of minimizing the need to cut carbon emissions.

what I meant was
He is not the author of the article in Lancet, is he? If you disagree with the article - by all means, show the world your workings. But he just linked to it and extracted a tiny bit, attacking him is shooting the messenger by definition.

He's a magpie. He picks up shiny things and adds them to his hoard. Only he's a magpie with an agenda: to him, the shiny things are bits of legitimate research that can be used to attack the scientific consensus on climate.

As ХЭБ explained very clearly on multiple occasions, there is a not so subtle difference between scientific consensus on the fact of warming, still relatively scientific projections of the possible extent of the warming and absolutely political and completely anti-scientific plans of dealing with the warming. The reference above does not question close to your heart facts but points at another reason the narrative supporting planned actions is wrong. And you are shooting the messenger.

Бинарная картина мира редко имеет отношение к реальности. Здесь то же самое.

Есть паникеры и есть злонамеренные отрицатели. Между ними целый спектр людей с более или менее разумными взглядами. Ломборг как раз один из *good* actors. He understands climate science well enough, much better than morons on the extremes, and he sticks to reality.
