Interesting. To me it seems like the biggest issue was the drop in coal production, not so much low production of renewable energy although it probably contributed.

Btw, that's the reason environmentalists should be for nuclear -- it is very dependable and can easily replace coal, while wind and solar require storage facilities which do not yet exist. I find it hard to fathom why people hate nuclear so much.
