Aug. 31st, 2020 04:02 pmDonald Trump’s reelection chances are rising, and that could leave investors positioned for a Biden victory in the dust, according to JPMorgan’s Marko Kolanovic. [Напомню, что он также предсказал победу Трампа в 2016 и сделал успешные прогнозы по развитию эпидемии в Нью-Йорке, о которых я писал раньше.]
“We currently believe that momentum in favor of Trump will continue, while the most investors are still positioned for a Biden win,” he said in a note to clients Monday. “The impact on sectors and factors (momentum vs value, cyclicals vs tech, ESG) could be dramatic and investment portfolios should adjust for a potential Trump re-election,” he added.
Kolanovic, who is JPMorgan’s global head of macro quantitative and derivatives strategy, is known lately for his often prescient calls. He correctly predicted the market’s bottom in March and has been bullish on stocks since.

Why Democrats are worried about Kenosha.
If the protests are seen as a crime issue, it benefits Trump. If they're seen more through the lens of race relations, it's to his detriment.
The key for Trump is that he does considerably better on the issue of crime. By an 8-point margin in a recent ABC News/Washington Post national poll, voters say Biden would be worse on "safety from crime" than Trump has been as President.
Biden is still overwhelmingly trusted over Trump when it comes to race relations.
The trend has clearly been in the direction Trump wishes to be on how the protests are seen.
The net approval rating (approval - disapproval) for the protests fell from +27 points to -1 point.
