проявил себя очередной раз главный судья Робертс, проголосовавший вместе с либералами в поддержку прав на аборты в Луизиане. Интересно как некоторые правые просочившись в ВС постепенно левеют, но не наоборот.

Let’s call it what it is: “Legislation from the bench”. And SCOTUS has been doing too much of that lately IMO. Yeah, while I do not disagree in PRINCIPLE with the decisions made, including the decision about discrimination laws being applicable to our friends in the LGBTQ family, I certainly do not agree with the PROCESS. Legislation is to be done by the parliament, not by the judicial branch of our Republic.

That's the first time on my memory that you write in CAPS. My first thought was that you account was stolen.

The process is known as checks and balances and I think it's perfectly fine. When some crazy local lawmakers adopt discriminatory (or otherwise unconstitutional) laws the courts are there to set them straight. That's not a bug, it's a feature, and good one at that.
