This is not the case, at least not for Tesla in the US. You simply go and the software tells you where to charge -- there is a supercharger on major highways every 50-100miles.

And on any major “traffic day” like Thanksgiving or Easter all of them will have lines.

Is there any evidence of that? I have personally never seen a line at a supercharger.

In any case, it should not be too difficult/expensive to address this, Tesla already has mobile charging stations for high traffic areas: https://thedriven.io/2019/12/02/tesla-deploys-mobile-ev-superchargers-powered-by-new-megapack-battery/

I think you’d agree that anyone’s personal “I haven’t seen” is a weak argument in this matter.
And isn’t it a piece of evidence we have just seen by the link in the top post?

About as strong as "I haven't seen" :)
We need something a little more systematic than one long line.

Not quite: after watching this video you have seen it too so you can’t really clame you haven’t seen it ;)

Yes, I’d agree that if we consider the matter scientifically we’d need more evidence. But I’d guess we are having much more relaxed discussions here.

Still, we should be careful of jumping to conclusions based on a few reports. Anything related to Tesla generates so much publicity that it is hard to judge whether this is wide-spread or just a problem with one location.

I think these overloads are somewhat predictable and should not be too difficult to address. The key is the trajectory, especially with the increasing number of EV's -- hopefully Tesla/ other EV companies will address these issues sooner rather than late.
