ny_quantClaire Berlinski написала длинную но умную статью про #metoo . Некоторые положения очевидны всем и давно (например параллель с охотой на ведьм), но она также интересно обсуждает непременные признания покаяния сравнивая со сталинскими процессами 30-х. Или вот это:

Интересна также попытка рассмотреть ситуацию как случай моральной паники.
Maybe it doesn’t matter where the sources of the present moral panic lie. But could we at least get enough of a grip to realize that it is a moral panic—and knock it off? Women, I’m begging you: Please.

Мне кажется, что это ближе к тому как изображают китайскую культурную революцию: с хунвейбинами, травлей, и лагерями переобучения. Разве что там жертв заставляли работать, а сейчас их лишают такой возможности.

Уже. Чтоб далеко за примерами не ходить, взять хотя бы ту же Хиллари, взбаламутившую все эту бучу. Она вот извиняется:

Т.е. она сделала то, что сама же считала лучшим, и подчеркивала (virtuous and noble) отношение о вторых шансах - и за это извиняется! Под давлением толпы "своих". That's a very bad case of moral corruption.
