ny_quantA majority of the world’s countries, including Brazil, China and Denmark, considers an MD to be an undergraduate degree. Five to six years after receiving their high school diplomas (or their national equivalent), students in these countries are seeing real patients while their U.S. counterparts are still struggling with verbal-comprehension passages on the MCAT. It is time for the United States to recognize the traditional pre-med path for what it is: a colossal waste of time and potential that is costing this nation millions, if not billions, of dollars.
Proponents of the status quo often argue that U.S.-educated doctors are renowned for their excellence and professionalism, but there is little evidence that earning an undergraduate degree before medical school produces better or more mature doctors. Put another way, there is no reason to believe that U.S. doctors are “better” than French, Finnish or German doctors — all of whom enrolled in medical programs straight out of high school. But there is some evidence that U.S. doctors may be worse. An international study in 2007 estimated the rate of medical errors in the United States to be higher than that in the six other countries examined: Australia, Britain, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

кроме того ушлые американские бизнесмены открыли в европе и на карибах мед школы которые СПЕЦИАЛИЗИРУЮТСЯ на подготовке американцев и канадцев для того чтобы те потом вернулись в канадские и американские резидентуры
140 это немного
я не знаю его специальности - разброс очень большой
и разброс между нй и урюпинском - огромный - в 2-3 раза может быть
скажем я знаю нескольких врачей с доходом 1.5М
одного - 2М
в среднем однако в зависимости от штата/города/специальности 250-350
если конкретный урюпинск может предложить хороший доход врачу - они туда едут
если не может- этот урюпинск начинает жаловаться на недостаток врачей
которого по факту нет - платите больше денег и к вам поедут

В смысле, туда принимают без college degree и нарочно готовят к резидентуре? А что это за школы такие и как их искать?

есть такие в польше, в ирландии - это то что я слышал
поскольку мне лично без надобности я дальше не интересовался
анестезиолог может и больше 300 зарабатывать - все зависит от того где он работает
