После разгрома в Вирджинии и едва выигранных выборов в Нью-Джерси, товарищи слева заволновались о том как жить дальше и как изменить наблюдаемый тренд. Скопирую свой комментарий из другого журнала.

Я бы начал с того, чтобы перестать сраться друг с другом в Конгрессе и принять хоть какой-то полу-разумный infrastructure bill. Второе, перестать активно педалировать наиболее одиозную херню, которой они занимаются: борьба за нулевые эмиссии СО2, CRT в школах, D&I везде, выплаты по поллимона обиженным мигрантам. Третье, надо срочно добиться каких-то громких успехов на южной границе: больше ловить и депортировать, меньше отпускать внутрь и главное четко дать им всем понять, что надо подавать документы в законном порядке, а не переть караванами на границу.

Разумеется, предприняв все эти шаги они бы стали очень мало отличаться от умеренных республиканцев, а на это они пойтить никак не могут. Гораздо выгоднее просрать Конгресс и следующие президентские выборы. Просто подарок на блюдечке с голубой каёмочкой Дональду J Трампу. Дебилы, блять.

Про нее я ничего не знаю, но респ который в центр программы поставил образование, сегодня вполне может считаться умеренным.

Тогда респам надо просто копировать тактику Youngkin в 2022 там, где надо отнять место у дема.

In Virginia, Mr. Trump showed rare restraint. Part of his thinking was that having a Republican in the governor’s office would be more helpful in 2024 if he decides to run again for president, according to people who have spoken to him.
The political teams for Mr. Trump and Mr. Youngkin both understood there would be almost no room for error for a Republican to win statewide in Virginia for the first time in 12 years.
In an interview Saturday night on Fox News, Mr. Trump reiterated his support for Mr. Youngkin amid critics pointing out that the Virginian’s late surge was without overt help from the former president.
Mr. Trump issued statements over the weekend that the Youngkin team viewed as helpful. On Monday, Mr. Trump hosted a discreet “tele-rally”—essentially a conference call with supporters to urge them to vote for Mr. Youngkin—although Mr. Youngkin himself didn’t join, instead holding his own rally in Leesburg, Va.

Mr. Youngkin, meanwhile, campaigned as a Trump Republican, but on his own terms. His policies, such as opposing critical race theory in public schools, also animated Trump Republicans. But he maintained his brand as a political outsider focused on local issues that he could control from the governor’s office.
Over one-third of the TV ads from Mr. McAuliffe’s campaign focused on Mr. Trump—more than any other issue, according to data compiled by AdImpact, a company that tracks advertising. A plurality of Mr. Youngkin’s spots, 42%, centered on education and crime.

The strategy worked. Mr. Youngkin won a larger share of the state’s 2020 Biden voters than Mr. McAuliffe won of Mr. Trump’s voters, according to the AP VoteCast survey.

Mr. Youngkin continued to stick to local issues. In his victory speech, he thanked the state’s voters and his family, but he didn’t mention Mr. Trump or the word “Republican.” He talked about his plan to provide more public school choices, cut taxes and create 400,000 more jobs.

Я не думаю, что one size fits all. В глубине flyover states, возможно, надо просто продолжать отсасывать у Трампа.

Благодаря благословению из Mar-a-Lago он мобилизовал и обеспечил высокую явку трамповского электората.
Благодаря позиционированию себя как самостоятельного и независимого с собственной повесткой он флипнул пригороды аппер мидл класс профессионалов в свою пользу.
При этом он всячески избегал навязываемой ему демами дискуссии о Трампе.

Это как раз то что нужно там, где надо высадить дема из кресла в свинг дистрикте.
