In recent European safety testing, a Tesla Model 3 with Autopilot placed sixth out of 10 systems, getting high marks for performance and ability to respond to emergencies, but falling short on its ability to maintain a driver’s focus on the road.

Autopilot is not really autopilot, full self driving is not really full nor self ... This is really annoying. They were offering customers to pay 8K for FSD that wasn't even in beta? This really sucks.

What they call FSD currently (outside of beta) does have some useful features beyond Autopilot, but not $8k useful. But yeah, I also find it annoying that they play all these games. Part of it is that Elon tends to over-promise, less now than in the past but still, the other part is simply trying to grab some extra cash.

The technology is useful and amazing though, and that is what matters in the end, to me at least.
