Интересно, что я из её первых 14 пунктов согласен с 13.5 но желания голосовать за демократов от этого почему-то не прибавляется.

I am sorry but you do not know what you are talking about. The most advanced modern car manufacturer is Tesla, which is an American company. They have massive factories in the US. The problem is that most of the jobs are being replaced by robots. You need a lot of engineers and programmers and not so many line workers.

I am talking about China because the benefits of the (somewhat) free market are the most obvious there. But even here we had unemployment under 4% about a year ago. The quality of life in the USA is far better than in the 70s-80s, although the difference is not as drastic as in China, of course.

Китай - пример гибридного сочетания рынка и гос. влияния. Тем не менее, вывод работ из США никакого отношения к роботизации не имел. И да, никто не против, чтобы фабрики в любом виде были в США. На прогресс это влияет в том смысле, что производство приводит к инновациям, а его отсутсвие - нет (конечно, если маски не находят совершенно новых ниш).
