Решил объявить день честности перед самим собой и провёл капиталистический субботник посвящённый борьбе с overfitting. Таковым я волюнтаристски объявил все ветви алгоритма, которые посещаются менее чем в 1% случаев in or out of sample, а также те, где несмотря на общее улучшение доходности и Шарпа, количество положительных и отрицательных результатов статистически неотличимо от 50%. В итоге выкинул все с таким трудом найденные примочки и оставил всего лишь три параметра. Ес-но результаты ухудшились (но все ещё очень ничего: доходность 110%, Шарп 1.7) зато можно считать себя честным человеком и смело смотреть в зеркало. Характерно, что все эти изменения совершенно не отразились на последнем годе, когда я уже торговал вживую.

looks like somebody's strategy to get 8000% profit in ~2 years on XIV, described like this:

i tried to catch the buy moment of the uvxy and use it as a sell moment for the xiv
the most difficult thing for me was to catch the sell moment of the uvxy (which is the buy moment for the xiv) because uvxy tumbles rapidly down after an up direction
i worked with closing prices; perhaps if i could use the after hours data i could sharpen my calculations

read the anxiety in the market with a mix of calculations

divergency versus convergency
s&p down with +/- 0.34%
lagging
volume

making an account sheet was a great step forwords

the buy signal was so close that buying on the next open made me buy expensive so i buy at he nest close (at he opening the after and premarket sentiment tunnels together)

Probably a coding error. If not then some sort of egregious overfitting.
