i give George a mandate to say things that make me cringe. because i know him in person. because his eldest son is on active duty. because he is kinda blinded by living in a fairly fucked-up state, and has not seen the rest of america at all.

as to Lykov, you quoted him as well - he is one of the smartest men i know, and may indeed be right about what he says. he does i mean his words - suffer from being quoted out of context.

You probably noticed that I recently went on record about prof "George" so I need not add anything.

As for Lapot, I have to say that I like him a lot. I don't know which of the quotes was his and we don't need to agree on everything but he's generally very level-headed and not an asshole.

I know you didn't ask me for input but it's my journal so I thought I was within my rights ...
