Google News is shut down in Spain

as a result of a new Spanish law, we had to close Google News in Spain. This legislation requires every Spanish publication to charge services like Google News for showing even the smallest snippet from their publications, whether they want to or not. As Google News itself makes no money (we do not show any advertising on the site) this new approach was not sustainable.

Испанские законодатели, конечно, лучше чем сами газеты знают с кого и за что они должны брать деньги. А вы говорите Брюссель.

Вот именно. Можно предположить, что это выгодно крупным газетам, у которых есть подпосчики и которые широко известны, и уничтожает мелких.
