ny_quantJuly’s global average temperature of 16.95 degrees Celsius (62.51 degrees Fahrenheit) was a third of a degree Celsius (six tenths of a degree Fahrenheit) higher than the previous record set in 2019, Copernicus Climate Change Service announced Tuesday. Normally global temperature records are broken by hundredths or a tenth of a degree, so this margin is unusual.
The previous single-day heat record was set in 2016 and tied in 2022. From July 3, each day has exceeded that record.

У нас тем не менее относительно прохладно. А в нашей деревне так и просто самое холодное лето на моей памяти, что подтверждается температурой воды в бассейне, который так ни разу и не прогрелся выше 80 градусов, хотя в прошлом бывало до 89.

Death Valley reported its hottest midnight temperature on record with 120 degrees Fahrenheit (48.9 degrees Celsius) on July 17.

Date: 2023-08-09 09:17 pm (UTC)Тем не менее, мне интересно насколько неоднородно потепление. В некоторых местах теплеет намного быстрее чем можно было бы ожидать, а в других и вовсе не теплеет.
Также интересно, что ничего из того о чем я написал в посте не было предсказано заранее. Ни скачок в рекорде Т, ни контраст между Европой и Америкой.

Было бы круто, в смысле сильно повысило бы мое доверие к климатическим моделям, если бы это было предсказано 30 лет назад. Но нет же.
