Part of Death Valley reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday. If verified by climate scientists, it would be the highest temperature ever reliably recorded on earth.

A lot depends on humidity though.

It is a desert, it was very dry.

That actually makes it more tolerable. Same temperature somewhere like Houston, TX with its 90% humidity would probably be lethal.

Probably. I figured I could probably walk a few miles without water before collapsing. With water a bit longer but not much, maybe.
