Police arrested and issued summonses to eight rabbis who blocked traffic during a pro-humanitarian aid protest Monday night, officials said.
An NYPD spokesperson said the incident happened around 6 p.m. during a planned demonstration outside the Israeli Consulate on Second Avenue and 43rd Street.
Organizers said the arrests were noteworthy because it was the first time a group of rabbis the Jewish community's political center had risked arrest over the war in Gaza.

Раввины блокирующие траффик в знак протеста в поддержку Газы — я бы хотела это видеть. Отправить их раздавать туда гуманитарную помощь, в кипах.
Протестовало больше , арестовали не всех, рядом была стрельба и полиция распределила силы, на всех равов полиции не хватило.

У одной из арестованных раввинок в синагоге Covid policy в последний раз обновлялась в сентябре прошлого года и там написано, что прививки и бустеры все еще strongly encouraged, но маски уже optional. И что-то мне подсказывает, что до сентября 2024го года они таки были не optional.
