Может, они добросовестно считают, что в 30-х могла быть локальная аномалия (хотя гугл бодро находит пейпер, ставящий гипотезу, что dust bowl 30-х и скачок глобальной температуры в те же годы связаны друг с другом), а вот сейчас - уже следствие потепления, что убедительно доказано.
А пейпер из репорта APA вы читали? Там что написано?

Легко заметить, что Т была чуть ли не 1.5 градуса ниже, а heat wave index в два с гаком раза выше. Но доказано очень, очень убедительно, ага. С эпсилоном и дельтой наперевес.

Date: 2023-04-24 06:39 pm (UTC)Так вот, никаких серьёзных работ, объясняющих dust bowl я не читал, и afaik их не существует. И это не потому, что учёные такие тупые, а потому что это невероятно сложно, м.б. даже невозможно. (Ну, не умеем мы предсказывать климатические аномалии дальше чем на несколько месяцев вперед - да и то только для Эль-Ниньо - и не факт что когда-нибудь научимся.) И ровно то же самое, только с большей очевидностью, относится и к предсказаниям далёкого будущего.
