Если речь про иммиграцию, то я, честно говоря, не очень понимаю, как эту другую точку зрения можно аргументировать. В смысле, как именно неограниченная иммиграция позволяет сделать бывший ад менее адским. То есть я наблюдаю эти беседы уже довольно много лет, и ни одного внятного аргумента в пользу такого предположения не увидел ни разу. Хватало разных доводов с моральных высот, типа рассуждений о "синдроме троллейбуса" или туманных разговоров о гипотетической пользе diversity, но в рациональной области аргументов как-то не было.

Экстраполировать нам ни к чему, равно как и подозревать. Настроения демократической партии хорошо нам известны, истеблишмент тамошний не молчит, конгрессмены-сенаторы разные своих мнений не скрывают - какие уж тут подозрения. Твердая уверенность.
