На мой взгляд, эта новость и сама по себе малоинтересная, хотя, конечно, NYT о ней сообщал, причем еще до официального предъявления обвинений.

Но главное (the point) в том, что ее значение не идет ни в какое сравнение со значением информации о том, как действующий президент пытался сохранить власть, проиграв выборы.
