i looked at Cali and at us.
why do you trust other countries' numbers, though? i don't.
in cali, dirty mortality s about 1% yes, oscillating between 1 and 1.5.
in teh SOuth it is much worse, closer to 7% in louisiana, 5% in georgia.
and there are mostly underestimates.
there are tendencies both to overcount nad to undercount.
in ZFL and most of the south, undercounting is probably ( probably!) more of a trend than overcounting ( NYC).
